A few years ago, I thought I was invincible. I had a plan: work, achieve success, and then – I’ll rest. Sound familiar? The problem was that time never slowed down, and I was running faster and faster. Each promotion brought pride, but also a growing emptiness. I convinced myself that “I’ll manage.” After all, a short vacation is enough to recharge, right? But every trip ended the same way – with more exhaustion than before. I felt torn between the expectations I placed on myself and the growing desire for silence and peace that demanded attention. Then one day, I looked in the mirror. A person I didn’t recognize stared back at me. Empty eyes, a tired body, a scattered mind. That was the moment when something inside me broke.
The Diagnosis That Changed My Life.
I realized that rest is not a reward for hard work – it’s essential for life. But by the time I came to this realization, it was already too late. I received a diagnosis that stayed with me for a long time: “Your body is healthy, but your mind needs treatment.” Shame. Anger. A sense of failure. In my world, asking for help was a sign of weakness, and I didn’t want to be weak. But I had no choice. Therapy became my salvation, and at the same time, a revelation. I realized how many of our beliefs are like heavy backpacks we carry our whole lives – even though they’re no longer necessary.
What Is a Burnout Retreat?
Did you know that 66% of workers experience burnout? It’s not just a brief fatigue that passes after the weekend. It’s a state where your body says “enough,” and everyday responsibilities become unbearable. There are places in the world called Burnout Hotels – spaces that help people on the verge of exhaustion regain their strength. When I first heard about this idea, I felt it resonated with me. After 25 years of working in a male-dominated industry, I saw how many people around me lost their energy, purpose, and joy, struggling with pressure and overload. I know what it’s like to feel exhaustion that doesn’t fade after a vacation. That’s why I created Czas to tylko tło – a place different from a hotel, focused on silence, nature, and regeneration.
Burnout is like a fire. It slowly consumes what is best in us: the joy of life, closeness with others, the ability to enjoy the moment. I know what it’s like because I went through it myself. And I know that you can free yourself from it – if you just stop for a moment and allow yourself to rest. This place was created for those whose world is overwhelming. For those who want to rebuild relationships – with loved ones, nature, and themselves. For creative souls who need inspiration and silence to create again. And for all those who dream of true regeneration – the kind that restores balance and allows you to live fully. In the Scottish Cottage, you’ll feel the raw elegance and strength of the hills. The subtle symbol of the thistle will remind you of your resilience. And the Provençal Cottage will bring comfort and peace, allowing you to feel the lightness of life once again.
